I've got a 4lb. hand sledge and 24oz. ball peen. I haven't used the sledge much yet, but it seems nice, and it really is very heavy. I use the ball peen a lot, and I really like the feel of it. I'm probably going to pick up a 3lb. cross peen to replace my engineer's hammer that can't handle overstrikes and hard use.

One note, the $1000 deal doesn't cover the head coming off the handle... you know, the most likely failure of a hammer.

I have a 12 pound sledge I bought when I was doing some demo work. What can I say, it's heavy, hits stuff, and has a comfortable handle. Is it worth what I paid? Unknown. Too early to say. Is it a really nice hammer? You bet.

Kevin because I love hammers I bought a few of their smallest models and they are the bomb! I don't own any of their large sledge hammers but if they are anything like the smaller models they are outstanding.

I have 2 20 pounders at work. Great hammers and you don't have to worry about the head loosening up. It's pretty tough to keep the bigger heads tight when your using them often, and the Wilton's have been bomb proof so far. I'd like to try some of the smaller ball peens one of these days. Best sledge I've ever used.

I have the 5lb and the 20lb. No comparison to the crappy home despot sledge I was using before. They are definitely robust.

Love mine, I have a cross peen and a ball peen. Best hammer I have ever owned. There is no need to worry about the head coming off, the spring steel rods through the handle are welded to a plate that sits on top of the head. They are becoming more and more popular and are being carried by many distributors in my area too. Perfect hammers!

I bought an 8 lb sledge and really like it. It is the first sledge I have ever bought. It was around $100 with tax at a local store. I figure it's one of those things I will only have to pay for once, and no worries of a loose head or cracked handle. The handle was pretty comfortable.
