Hello,I'm new here and am happy to be here:beer:. I have a question about a wilton baby bullet vise I'm looking at buying , it has the marking of 925 on the static jaw and on the dynamic jaw it has 825. The guy says it is 9in long in the closed position with 2 1/2 inch jaws. My question is, is this a baby bullet vise or something else? All of the baby bullet picks I've seen around have no markings on them. He wants almost 400 for it so I want to make sure before I pull the trigger. Thanks Steve

GarageGuy: surprising this name wasn't already taken. welcome to our group and might i suggest posting a few pictures of the Wilton you are talking about so we can see what you are trying to buy for 4 Benjamins? Wilton made and makes regular bullet vises that are 2.5 inch wide jaws so pictures would help us help you. also there is a huge vises of garage journal thread you might have read in your vise searching before that you can post your vise pictures and same questions on. we are not appraisers, but we are willing to help new members if they stick around to learn and teach us what they might know on a different tool or subject.

i use the paperclip method just above where you are writing your posts to attach pictures sort of like attaching pictures to an email. ask questions if you can't figure it out.

Overpriced in my opinion. KMScott's fully restored and IMPROVED 825 vise sold on Ebay for $316.

Unfortunetely I don't have any pics of the vise. It is in pristine condition though, he is also selling a wilton CO which I might try and bundle with the baby. The problem is here in the northeast wilton vises go for a premium. Thanks for the input Steve

Also I will look into the bench vise thread
