Wilton Bandsaw

I was not really looking for a bandsaw, but I saw this one come up on craigslist and could not resist purchasing it. I had in the back of my mind the plan to purchase a shop saw or a bandsaw for cutting rebar in the near future....but this bandsaw was only marginally more than a brand new chop saw that I couldn't pass it up....

It even came with 4 brand new blades.

I just picked it up this morning.... I just have to find a spot to squeeze it into the existing one stall garage until the new one is built.....

We have a newer version of that saw at work it has the coolant system on it. It's the best cutting saw ive ever used.We built a frame with caster's on it so it could be moved around easly.

The blades it came with a carbon steel. Don't be too upset if they last very long. Grab a couple of Bi-Metal blades in 10-14 TPI and you should be able to get through that rebar no problem. Go 6-10 TPI for larger stuff, but take it easy on the feed rate to get a nice finish.
