Long time lurker, signed up here after we bought our first house to learn more about epoxy floors/storage. Well here I am 7 years later and the floors are still awesome looking and held up great to the abuse (thanks for the input on this guys!). Looking around on here last year when I was in need of a bench vise I came across a thread about restoring them, I immediately when hunting for an older wilton bullet. Few weeks later I found one on craigslist for $100 so I jumped on it. Got it home and it was in working condition so we mounted it on the bench and started using it. Flash forward to now, I'm starting a restoration project on it.

Got it all apart tonight and ready to take to the sandblaster next week. Needing to figure out what to do for a new handle as the original one is all bent and wanting to get a set of replacement jaws. Haven't figured out what color I'm going to go on it but its between gloss black or a hammered grey. Anyways heres some pics of it all apart.

Looks like it was made 12/46 or if thats the warranty date 12/41?

That's going to be nice!

The slide date is the manufacture date during that era as best I can tell (there's a whole thread on it).

As far as jaws and a new handle go, KMScott here is the best source you will find. You can get an idea of pricing on his website www.wiltonviseparts.net, but know he gives a 10% discount for GJ members using "GJ" as the discount code.

I think the handle will run about $60 and the jaws should be about the same. What jaw width is it?
