Wilton Bullet Vise Lube?

I just picked up this Newer Wilton 350 Bullet for $50 and i was wondering, if they come factory with any sort of luberication and if so what brand (ex, snap-on uses superlube inside all of their ratchet heads)

Doubt it matters much what you use to lube it.

Nick (aka "autoprts") appears to use the popular red grease on the spindle, so that's what I would suggest.

Many may turn their nose up to this, but I use bearing grease on all of my vises. Smooth as butter...

I've done this my entire life without exception.

I do medium coat of Mobil 1 on the screw and nut, extremely light coat on the slide. I think most any auto grade grease would work fine.

Don’t waste your time greasing that vise. Just mail it to me and I’ll do it for you and get it out of your way for a while.

Seriously... Let me be the first to give you a “you ****” award for scoring a 350 for only fifty bucks.

BTW, like notlob and many others, I use Mobil One, red synthetic grease.

Thanks guys been looking for one of these for a while but could never stomach the price so this came up and i had to grab it. Now if only i could find a vinatge one to completly re-do for that price.

Now is the date stamp on the key way the date of mfg. ? And what would you say this is worth being one of the smaller ones they make $200?

I'm a fan of Super Lube. It helps even a crappy vise turn smooth.
