Hey everyone!

I saw how tough the crowd was on the Copper bullet vise and know there are some knowledgeable folks on here too! So I thought I would share in the group on my progress thus far and ask a for some advice. This is a user in my shop and not a floor model resto job. Just wanted to share and seek professional opinions.

When burning through on another trip to some estate sales and antique stores, I ran across this Wilton Bullet Vise that was a definite upgrade I needed in my shop! Enjoy the pictures and short video.

1. Circa and $$. Can anyone help me date range the vise? The magical date stamp is not on the pined slide key, however I didn't pull it to check the unexposed side. What Do you think it was worth at the beginning and what would you say it's worth now?

2. Machining help. The anvil portion has a few battle scars and I would like to true it up... I've reached out in my neighborhood here in the Covington Washington area for and hobby machinists, but no luck. I've been hitting it with a file for a few mins each time I go in the shop... But not making the progress needed.... Any ideas on where to find a hobby Machineing connection to learn from and participate in the machine work?

3. Parts.
Base. Is this version supposed to be on a swivel base? Where would a guy go looking for a base? And lever nuts?
Jaws. Are these the correct jaws for this vise? If not how/where would a guy find something more appropriate.

The jaws are correct. Google Schiller Park years and it will probably take you to a thread on here with years of those castings.
