Wilton C2 Vise Help

Hey everyone I just picked up a Wilton C2 vise,. Don’t know much about it so looking for aome help. Any idea of the manufacture date for it or where to find the date code? Also prob need new jaws, missing the rear cap and def need a rebuild. Any idea of what this is worth just curious if i got a deal or not. I have attached pics also. Thanks for the help

Thank you for the help, I found the date code, just have to take it apart now and see if I need to fix anything

Don't remove the rear nut if you don't have to. It can be very tricky and many guys have broken the vise casting trying to pound out the pins. If you absolutely have to do it, watch the youtube videos.

Thank you guys, I’m just going to take it apart clean it and regreese it, not looking for a full resto, i like the old look and just want it work properly, I’m going to take it apart tonight and will let you know

So looks like the front flange was missing from the previous owner so he made some bs thing work and looks like he drilled out and tapped it which kinda ***** but think i cam just get an original flange and it will still work, let me know what you guys think

The original would have been what is called a horseshoe washer. I made this one for a vise I was working on, that the original was missing. Made it with a drill press, 6X48 belt sander and a Sawzall. The thickness is instrumental in the amount of backlash the vise has. I got this one to within .003.

I've seen replacements for sale. Sometimes they are on ebay. But I've also seen the horse shoe washers for sale at dedicated vise websites. You'll just have to search around.
