Hi guys

Just picked up a beauty of a C2 and am looking for a little info. The hold down bolts for the swivel are missing and just have a couple bolts and nuts in place and I would like to find the original setup and put it back on. Also I am going to refinish this thing and I would like to know what the original paint color was and if a close match is available. The vise is a C2 and also has 101059 on the frame. Assuming that is a model number. I haven't disassembled it yet so I'm not sure what year vintage it is but I gotta tell you all this vise is Awsome and I can't wait to finish and use it.

The hold down bolts that fit underneath into the ring and 1/2"-20 carriage bolts, and that vise will stay in place better if you use nuts on top as opposed to swivel handles. Its a big one. Hammered Light Blue would look close to original.

The base is already bolted down, I just was wondering where I could find the handles. I think that some kind of cover goes in the front . Also any suggestions in terms of parts cleaner/washer.IMG_0183_1.jpg

I never thought of a lug nut. I wouldn't even want the tommy bar drilled into it, they bend too easily.

Were you able to get a date from the bottom keyway? I might be able to make replacement handles but I'm not sure of the thread size. Take out one of the bolts underneath and take it to a hardware store and see what size nut fits on it. I think thats a newer C-2 possibly 90's measure the ID of that hole in back and get back to me on date, thread size, and hole ID.
