That looks like its been used and abused hard but I think I would offer $25 to start and see what you get. If he wouldnt budge on price I think I would still prbably go for it as long ad it was close by.

Jeremy: all Wilton vises are not created equal. for $50 you can get a new version of that one that might be better. up your budget about double that and you can find a 30 plus pound old Reed, Rock Island, Prentiss or other good old used vise.

OP... Do some research.. Just cuz it says Ferrari on it doesn't mean it'll drive... Just do some reading!! You'll find what you're looking for if you're set on owning a "Wilton",,

I'm no expert, so I'd pass, mainly because it doesn't say "Made in USA" which means it probably isn't. It's likely one of the cheap ones. Right now that one is $77 brand new on Amazon. $51 if you want the blue one.

It says Made in the U.S.A and its a Wilton so i just wasn't sure. Before posting this question on GJ i offered the guy $20 because the handle was bent so bad. He turned me down.

I doubt it would have been a good buy. That thing must of have gone through hell if the handle is bent.

Some ****** around here has a nice bullet one for 175$, which is probably fair but too much for my blood.

He does however have a nice 3/4 craftsman block on the CM stand for 90$.

There's only so much I can do with more than one of the same tool though....

I had one of those for about 15 years. It wasn't the most accurate vise but it was tough as hell. I used it as a press more than once to install bushings and the like.

It has a couple small notches in the left portion of the jaws for grabbing round stuff. That is a handy feature.

Then I ponied up for my first Wilton, found GJ and the vise threads and the rest is history.

I sold my Craftsman for $25 and was happy to get it. $75 is very high, in my opinion.

That was my first vise, still have it. Bought it new about 25 years ago. That one looks pretty good. It's a decent vise, $75 is on the high side. If you need a vise NOW it wouldn't be a bad price but I would definitely try to get it down a bit.
