Wilton knock off?

I have had this for awhile and was looking for some info on it please. Other than the 80 cast in the side there is no info on it and it is quite small. When I first seen it I thought it was a baby bullet. I know it is not but I do not have any info, help please.

Looks like a York without the badgeing. York is the original wilton bullet

Yep that's a York, originator of the bullet vise, I heard that he was a worker for York, came to USA and started his own brand

That's cool if the mods wish us to do away with postimg.org, but i would simply request that a file attachment be put on the quick reply as well that everyone sees. Most people don't realize they have to go to advanced reply and then mange attach through it.

I had what I thought was a York 150 that looked just like yours (other than size). When it was stripped, the area where it should say York was filled with bondo. Under the bondo it said "Made in Romania" rather than York.

I know that there were both Romanian and Indian copies of Yorks that looked pretty darned close the the original, but not quite.

I had one that said made in Czechoslovakia IIRC... That part of the world was constantly changing hands and being decimated by wars so I'm not surprised.

If you meant "York, England" they were never made there AFAIK.

York is still in business in the Czech republic. I don't believe any true Yorks have been made anywhere else.

I wouldn't be surprised if many companies were forced to share designs back when eastern Europe was largely controlled by the Soviet Union.

I removed the filler and it is Made in Romania.
