Wilton Shop King vise ?

I have a Shop King vise with no base. It has 2 mounting holes, and a center, non- threaded hole in the base Any idea what base would fit this vise? All the ones on GJ have threaded center holes and a single hole for a hold down. Thanks.

Most likely at some time in the past the swivel base broke, so a prior owner drilled another hole in the vise and bolted it down less the swivel base. I did the same to a Reed vise I found missing its swivel base, mounted mine on a stand, 360 degree access, so the lack of a swivel doesn't matter.

454, actually it appears that the base was milled this way from the factory- it appears rather precise.

Any other ideas on what kind of base fits this vise?

That does look factory drilled. Perhaps the early Shop Kings used a Torco base? All the Torco pictures I see have two swivel clamps.

Well, here's some pics of my Wilton Shop King Vise with one of the swivel base mounting tabs broken off. I've thought about ways to repair the tab but given that it's an extra vise to my needs, I'll probably never get around to doing it.

When I first obtained the Shop King vise, my research led me to believe that broken mounting tabs are common on this model.

didnt autopts say he had a base lying around for a shop king? find member (autopts) and ask him for a base. Hes got all kinds of cool stuff
