Hi just picked up a 1760 at a flea market. Just waiting for my girl to give me a reason to hide in the garage for an hour or 12, so I can tear it down and see what's what with it.. I'll post some pics...

No labeling on it, not sure which way I want to go with it, but anyone have either of the 1760 decals I can buy?

Thanks in advance..joby

Ooooh nooos

While we are at it... How about sourcing a set of 1760 pipe jaws... Lol

I didn't even notice that the vise was supposed to have them.

The c series of course..ive only had a handful of Wiltons. Never knew about the pipe jaws on the 1760...until I opened it and saw the cutouts and the bolt holes. :)
Oh well.. I have $50 into it so far...
Now I really need a serious reason to spend that quality time with this vise... :)

Really.. Really? ... OK I realize I am talking to myself here... But I am really actually dissapointed that I can get the replacement jaws from frickin WALMART if i wanted to, for this tradesman model ... Rethinking tradesman Wilton vise purchases.but I guess I did only pay as much as the same guy wanted for the tiny Columbian 44 model... Cause they're both American right....??

Talking to yourself again bud.... Lol.

Anyhow, as for the decal, I am not 100% sure how to get one, but in other restorations I have done, I have had aluminum decals made for me. A member here has made me some Baldor bench grinder decals for a restoration, out of aluminum sheet. So, that may be a route to go. To be honest thou, a lot of Tradesman vises I have seen have the Snap On/Wilton decal removed. I assume it is only glued on, and can come off easily after use of the vise. So I wouldnt even bother.

I have rebuilt a 1760 before. Got the jaws straight from Wilton, would assume the pipe jaws could also be had from them. I found the decal to be cost prohibitive to replace when I looked.

Are you refurbishing it back to original or paint it a different color?

thanks Nick, it was a great find.. and it was cheap...I actually about tripped over it under a pile of **** at a flea market...not dirt cheap, like $10.00...but more than reasonable...

I got the labels and thanks for the great deal on the pipe jaws...

I am not quite sure what I want to do with it as far as colors go..

I have a 1760 that I've been tryng to buy a $20 sticker for a month ($4 + 14 shipping). For some reason their system doesn't seem to take my card(s) and they don't know what's wrong. I'd be happy to buy a Wilton 1760 sticker (and posibly pipe jaws) if anyone has any?

You can buy them from Wilton directly also.

I called them a couple months ago and the person couldn't find a part number, so I couldn't order them.

Yeah, I've been trying to buy one. Something is wrong with their CC system as none of my cards work.

I called Snap-On and they sent me the puffy decals for my vice when I ordered jaws. They sent 2 sets Wilton and Snap-On. I haven't put them on, as I often spray said vise with fire and solvent while working and thought the puffy stickers might not last.
