Wilton Tradesman Taiwan model

Has anyone recently purchased a new Wilton tradesman? I have a USA version from 2011 and went to buy another only to be disappointed to see they are now Taiwan made. Are they comparable to the USA model or are they sub par? I bought my 1780 brand new for $375 in 2011 and wow has the price went up. Thanks

List price for the USA 1780 was $1200 at about that time; you got a smoking deal.

I'm interested in the feedback on this. Although I live in the world's largest Craigslist market and used tradesman appear quite frequently here, I'm still curious what the Taiwan made tradesmen are like.
