Should I buy this guys? 28 dollars, jaws don't line up perfect, and the static insert looks to be welded on. No cracks or welds on main body just on te removable insert.

Any welding on a vise is a bad sign. Still, if that's the only weld, it might go home with me for $25.

For $28 bucks..Ya can't expect much, but it should be worth $28, broken jaw support or not.

I passed :)

After further inspection, it looked like the 'rest' for the replaceable jaw insert was sheered clean off, and someone fixed it by screwing in a new replacement jaw, and welding it at the bottom.

I have been a lurker on here for a while, and know how the board feels about vices, so I almost wet myself when I saw it. I am waiting out a nice one that I can feel confident in using.

However, If someone wants it, It is at the Antique Mall in Lagrange, KY, right off of exit 22 on 71 from Louisville. I would like to see it go to a good home, or maybe get parted out for other Wilton owners to use.

I think I'd have gotten it and parted it out.

This site seems to be the center of the universe for vises, parts and tech! It'd sort of become its own little society, hasn't it?
