Hey guys, i came acorss this vice, and i was wondering if anyone would know if it's made in usa?

This is the only photo, and it isn't possible for anyone to inspect the vise to see if it is stamped anywhere.

I'm getting it for $25.

Thanks.

Trust us. its an import. A $25 import might fill your needs if you keep it for light duty work.

Oh well, even a USA made Wilton is an import to someone in Toronto. :D

How can ya tell Nick? Just curious.
It sortta looks like my 643.5 from the 1970s or so.

Hi Steve, Wilton, to my knowledge never had that style anvil. I don't ever remember any Wilton with its anvil raised on the 4 corners like that. They don't have beveled edges. I'm usually wrong most of the time anyways!

Nawww NOT true! If it wasn't for you, the rest of us would know SQUAT about Wilton vises.

Thanks for the reply. I can see your point about the beveled edges. I don't recall ever seeing those either now that you mention it.

Plus, it's been painted "re-sale red'. I wish the sellers would just leave the vise original, but new paint is attractive for some and certainly can hide a multitude of sins.
