Wilton Vise, looking for info.

I am getting this Wilton Vise, it has 6" wide jaws, is about 24" overall when closed, appears to be a swivel base. I couldn't find a tag, just the maker's castings. Can anyone tell me what model it is? I am trying to figure out how much it weighs and how old it is. Thanks for any info.

After some photo manipulation, I can see the pipe jaws (or at least one of them). That identifies it as a C series combination vise. The jaw bolts coming in from the back is a desirable feature. That’s a great vise. I have more than a few vises suitable for daily driver status, but I chose a Wilton C1.

It does have both pipe jaws, great to know what model it is, does it weigh the same as a new one or more? I have seen weights from 170 to 220 pounds, I can’t imagine they fluctuate that much?

That Wilton C3 with the swivel base is likely around 195-200#. I think mine weighs around 198. So even when you unscrew the dynamic jaw to separate and move two lighter halves of the vise, each will still weigh around 100#.
They are a nice vise, The swivel base locking system is rather weak in my opinion. When you take it apart, inspect the locking teeth or interlocking bumps.. they get rounded off quite easily. You can dress them with a dremel with a small carbide burr.
When using the swivel feature, just make SURE the notches are interlocked and make sure they are snugged down. or they will slip and break the tips of the teeth or round them off.

Nice vise, I'm surprised that there is not the usual C-3 on the side of a jaw tower.
