Just shows there are lots of different kinds of people here...
For a pro mechanic, time needed and the possibility of failure make this silly.
For a restorer, the sheer challenge is something of a thrill, getting waaaay past the usual knocking off of rust.
For the old tool nut, nothing is more satisfying than bringing a crippled soldier from the distant past back to health.
Crazy has different definitions for a hobbyist and a working mechanic!
