Will a stationary Wilton bullet vise accept a swivel base or is the bottom of the swivel vise machined to accept the swivel base? I am working on what I believe is a C-3 (but not sure)....completely smooth bottom with a single centered dowel hole.

With the center hole and the 2 outer holes it should accept a swivel base. I have 3 of the 4 "C" series, can never remember if the C3 is the big one or the small one.

Thank you ragtop.......the C-3 is the big one (6"). Guess I'll pick up a swivel base for this one and see what happens.

From what I hear all wilton bullet vises are convertible and can be either fixed or rotating without modification.

search function is your friend, search vise thread!

That's why I did that first........read a thousand or so posts until my eyes were bleeding. I'm sure I missed it, but didn't find anything dealing with this topic specifically on a C-3 (if that's what I have). In fact I couldn't even get it to give me anything on C-3, C3, c3, c-3, Wilton C-3, wilton C3 etc. No problem though.....ragtop was helpful and robracer took the time to speak with me so I've probably got it worked out.

Thanks

PS.....thanks Rusty
