I lurk here a lot and love to absorb all the knowledge you guys share. It has inspired me to take on a few projects in my free time. My old man was a mechanic for all of his adult life after getting out of the Navy. He died when I was 17 (1989) but I learned a lot from him in the short time I had with him. All of the vise restores started me thinking of the shop full of tools the old man left me. I started digging and lo and behold I discovered the gems below.

The Craftsman box went with him through his career from a Dodge dealership up until he died working for himself. I did a half a$$ spray can job on it not long after he died. I plan to restore them to their former glory. The Wilton looks to have been green when it was new. I can't make up my mind if I want to go with a different color.

Boz, It's a great feeling to work with tools passed on from your father, even more so when they are great tools. The wilton green is not so bad when its redone. Nice tools!

Finished up project #1. After digging through the grease I found the old man painted it forest green many moons ago so I went back with it.
