Wilton Vise

Came across this vise on Facebook. Guy wants $25 for it. Seems like a no brainer to me. What do you guys think? I'm sure it's Chinese but anything else I should worry about?

The knowledgeable will be along shortly, but at $25, buy that guy. Unless you already have TWO serviceable, five inch, rotating head vices, yes it's a no-brainer. It is an import though. I've recently learned there hasn't been a USA made rotating head vise in quite some time.

Rotator vise for $25 . . . . yeah, that will be useful even if Chinese. Go for it !!

Would be great beater vise for welding or other unusual holding positions.

I've got extra vise that's bolted to slat of wood that I clamp down in WorkMate.

Thanks, that's what I assumed. I don't have any vise right now so I figured this would be a good start. I don't plan on bashing on it by any means.

$25 for rotator vise is not a bad deal even if it is Chinese product. You can definitely go for it without worry.

I have that same vise. Home Depot used to sell them for ~ $100. Rotating feature is very useful. The main jaws, however, are not particularly beefy, so I use one of my heavier US vises if I need to crank down on something.
If you buy it ($25 is a good price), disassemble it to clean out the swarf and other odd bits of metal embedded in the grease, then relube with Mobile 1 or some other good quality grease.

Gave him $20 for it. Any tips or tricks to taking these things apart and cleaning/lubing them up?
