Tell him you're not really interested in the bench, but you'll take it off his hands since he wants it gone.

Offer $90, but $120 isn't a bad deal if the vise has no cracks or major damage (The handle looks bent in the pics)

Nice early Wilton... Chicago vs. Schiller Park, which I think dates it to pre 1957.

Well I lost the vise. I stopped got money, opened up my email on the iphone to get his # and a new email popped up and it was him saying the vise was sold. *****, felt like I got punched. It was the first wilton to pop up by me in ages. Guess that is my lesson to not slack on getting to it. Im tempted to say screw it and buy a brand new 6.5 tradesman.

Don't do it. You can find a nice old USA-made vise. I bought a big Prentiss off of eBay last month and it was in New Hartford, NY.

Are you particular with a Wilton?

Don't cry over spilt milk. But I found that exact same steel bench with those legs and with the same vise, for a 100 bucks, and I pulled the cash out in a flash!!!
Sorry you missed it by "thinking about it".

Don't feel bad, that old Wilton could have had issues, the handle for one, jaw supports often cracked or broke off those old ones especially after 55 or so years in service, replacement jaws are another $50. I bet you will eventually find a newer one and for less cash!
