I have Hunter DSP600 with winAlign V9 (Red key WIN(B) INTL 445-2005V9 and Green Key WEB UPGD INTL 547-3058 V19) on Windows XP system.

Unfortunaly, original computer fail when I try to start Winalign. picture stay stuck on PC and program not start.
We follow procedure 2008-45 who ask to remove some log file and reboot. No change.

I have DVD Winalign V9 built 595 according to my key.(and Aligner Serie 6 from 2016 V7.80 DBZ)

I decide to make new PC Lattitude Dell who can start under Win XP SP2. I put all driver and PC work like a charm.
I'm trying to install Winalign and I can't finalise installation (Still after macromedia flashplayer installation).

I going into folder install and trying to install all software (DirectX, Media player 7, IE5). Some accept and other not.

Anyway, even if I'm start setup program, Winalign install always fail and ask me to reboot.

Someone can help me please?

Sounds like a flash problem, which is a component used to build a bunch of terrible apps 15-20 years ago that everyone has abandoned since because of the woeful security issues.

Can you get a newer version of the alignment software?

It sounds like the problem is with that macromedia install failing. You could try looking through the files on the disk to install it separately, maybe right click and install as admin or in a compatibility mode. Try looking at the folder where it's installing files to for a more detailed error log.

Alternatively, try to find the version it's trying to install and find an installer for that online, then bring that installer to the XP machine.

Those older programs usually wrote to log files in your temp folder , search by files modified around your last install attempt. Usually there will be clues there.

Hello,
I give you some report of my story.
I think I have all for making good installation but not working... I have a lucky for having picture of my disk so I make list from program installed in original PC

I found this:
Framework 1.1 till framework 3.5
Visual C++ 2008 redeistribution x86 9.0.30729
Shockwave
Soapinstall2

And I say ...ok , download them on fresh install and let's go .......install CD after this .......and loosing time, still the same error with shockwave and flash player, winalign stop his own installation .....

So I decide to working on image file from original disk and I see on top of disk : hexlog.txt (around 7 Mo)
and I see in this log that missing one file:

HComQualityDb1.cpp

My program can't acces to is own database because missing this file. I don't fount it on my disk

Someone have this file ??

I can join my file hexlog but I don't want boring help that you give me. (7mo my eyes give blood)

I must say that I have only image disk, computer installed properly and only the blackbox who link the head but I haven't the head connected because I can't put all in my house....just computer and black box linked via USB......

Back to software:
When I see log..... that tell me stopping because missing this file :

HComQualityDb1.cpp

Another problem perhaps is :
ime=2023/04/27.16:13:23 Day=4 TickCount=61484
EventSource="Reserved" EventID=2 Severity=Error ReservedEvent=UnexpectedError
Program="C:\Heprogs\Aligner\EXECUTE\aligner.exe" PID=0x478 TID=0x47c
File=".\HComQualityDb1.cpp"
Line=106
EventInfo={
Could not open database C:\Heprogs\Aligner\qualitydb\qualitydb
Database error code -921 : DBUSERID is already used by someone else
}

Why perhaps ? because we trying to start program twice and files are locked when they are in use "semaphore"

But sure missing some *.cpp

Please help.

Regard

Make a blank .txt file and rename it to HComQualityDb1.cpp. There's a slim chance you just need the presence of the file and not the content. At the very least it should change the error message.

I am pretty sure that Hunter has designed their software to specifically not install on non Hunter PC's. I tried one time on a later version (V14) and could not get it to work. Any chance you can get the original PC running, or install the hard drive from the original one in the new computer? I am thinking that if the software were already installed, then there is a very slim chance that if Windows XP can figure out the drivers when you put that original drive in the new box, it *might* work.
