Hope you are not planning on pulling in trucks, 3k is an atv winch not a vehicle winch.

Super winch has 1.2HP as opposed to 1HP.
Super winch has 1.5-1 gearing as opposed to 1.36-1 gearing.
Super winch has 12' control cable, the other length is not given.
Super winch is cheaper and lighter
Super winch does not tell you the length of the cable although they look the same otherwise.

It looks like the superwinch has a jack to unplug the remote control cable whereas the HF unit "Looks" as though it has to be hard wired.

I like the looks of the HF but feature wise I'm leaning toward the super winch.

I had a sensible reply in mind for the OP, but I don't think he's going to listen. Hopefully he'll be the only one affected when the combination of cheap Chinese junk and a way overloaded drum clutch and/or cable culminates in an expensive, (or fatal), disaster. (Sarc:OFF)

It's not like I tow for a living, or use multiple winches multiple times each and every day...since 1996...(Sarc:On)

I'd get at least a 6k for that, but hey, that's just me. I worked the hell out of the Warn 9k getting the last scrap car onto the trailer. You probably COULD do it with just 3k, but you're gonna beat the piss out of it, and it's going to be slow, and probably slower with the ****** block you'll need many times. I wouldn't want "just good enough" when I've got good odds of having to deal with rusted brakes, flat tires, or junk that's stuck in gear.

I've had a Superwinch EP9 on my truck for about 3 years now, and it's never let me down. I think I paid $600 for it new from Amazon. Hell, the LP8500 is only $300 on there, though I have to wonder if it's any better than every other Chinese clone out there. If it's got a contactor instead of a starter solenoid, that alone is worth it.

I've had the Badlands 2k winch on the front of my 700 lb UTV for about 3 yrs & it's never given me a problem. I installed the switch on the dash. Thinking about upgrading the cable to a rope. I do have a ****** block but have not used it. Otherwise it's been fine.

Believe it or not, I own a LP8500...I took it as partial payment for a median recovery...it's mounted to a cradle, and I can mount it to my wheel lift, using heavy coiled cable for 12VDC...it does use a light duty starter "type" solenoid...obviously, its rated for more duty cycle than an actual Ford type solenoid...not a lot more, but anyway, the little 'Nese winch hasn't failed me yet...I use for "righting" on longer offset or parallel recoveries...
