I am in the process of fixing up a room of the shop insulating it etc. I currently have 3 Single pane aluminum windows that I want to replace with new energy efficient vinyl windows.
Is there anything I should know about doing this?
Will any window work?
Plan on replacing from the outside at this point and will possibly make one of the 3 windows larger. Was thinking that i would make the window taller so that There is only one cut to make in the metal skin.
Anyone have advice on doing the replacement or the windows?
Oh also we have some of the siding that lets light in with home made plexy glass between the siding and the inside its like 8ft W x 18"H Anyone do something better with these for insulation purposes?
