Wingnut socket?

We use them on H-60's...I think we get them from Snap-On..
Only reason is because EVERYTHING on a Black Hawk has a torque setting...

I need to get myself one of those! I could see using it with a magnetic driver instead of a drill. A magnetic driver would still be easier than twisting an actual wire nut.

Didn't realize this thread was so old, but I still want one of these.

Just use a radiator petcock socket. Although I can't see why a wingnut would need to be THAT tight???

Made this year's ago to use on wingnuts I milled for front axle nuts on a springer front end on a bike I built. Bikes long gone, but I still find a use for it occasionally

I made one 25 yrs ago for the plastic wing nuts GM used on the tail light assembly inside the trunk. Those plastic nuts were too tight to spin off by hand.

I cut into a socket on both side with my grinder. Fits over them perfect. With my Wright 3430, it makes pulling drain plugs on my I/O engine in my boat a breeze. The tough part is the engine compartment on the boat makes it so you can't actually see the drain hole, only can feel it from underneath while laying down. Not fun, but part of winterizing a boat in Michigan!
