Can't find my wiper arm puller and I got one that needs a little persuasion.
Off to buy a new one.

Ya'll use some mid tier-no name ones or some fancy pancy ones >?

It depends on the style you have most common are bolt retaining spline and usually wiggle back and forth because remover can damage threaded portions

And then there is the older ford clip style that gets full of rust and seizes you will need penatrant works best for me

I've used a faucet handle puller to remove some stuck wiper arms recently.

The whack-the-side-of-it-with-a-hammer-without-breaking-the-windshield method also works sometimes. You can put some anti-sieze or grease on the splines before reinstalling, which may make the removal easier the next time.

I have one like this but when I couldn't find it I used my battery terminal puller.
