Hey all,

Im try to figure out a way to organize my pliers relatively cheap. I see that they make wire racks racks you can get on amazon for about $25. I was wondering if anyone knew a way to make one that would be much cheaper than to buy one. If you had other organization ideas that would be great as well.

Thanks!

I'd seen several here that are made from a stiff wire wrapped around a broom handle, closet rod etc. with the plier handles slipped into the coil.

That's about as inexpensive as you're going to find.

I made 4 of them out of oven racks I picked up at the Dollar Store for $1 each.
Had to cut them to size and bend them with my hand break.

Years ago I picked up some wire shelving at Lowes, cut half of the flat section off, and painted it black. Cut to drawer length, and it worked great.

Only have one picture with it, but can't see it well as it's pretty crammed.

do you work in an office? see if you can snag a wire mail slot thingy. that's how I made mine. works perfect for pliers. I even grabbed a 2nd one and snipped every other wire and use it as a handgun rack.

just snip the long end off and turn upside down. makes an awesome plier rack

Use #12 solid wire and this also makes a good rack for storing wrenches.

I bought two of the racks from Amazon. Also available on eBay for about the same price. The slots are wide enough for most any pliers, something you don't get with some of the metal shelving. I doubled up on smaller pliers because I had too many pairs. I resisted using racks and snickered under my breath at those who did. It makes finding them much easier.

I use a bathtub tray from a secondhand store kitchen area score, $2, photo shows a different one.
The other pieces are cd racks.
