I ran a 1-1/2" conduit parallel (but in separate trench) to my power for the run to the shop. Would like to run telephone, coax (RG-11), cat5 and 12-22 multi-conductor (for an alarm system). I have not found anyplace I can buy the coax or 12-22 in less than 500 foot rolls -- really only need ~250'. Anybody have good source for buying this stuff?

RG11? You sure you don't want RG6? I bought mine at Home Depot in whatever size rolls they offer. I thought they were 250 foot rolls, but I could be wrong.

When I buy cat5 supplies, I buy from this place: http://www.cablingsys.com/.
You could go with the home composite cable that puts rg6 and cat5 in one pull jacket but you pay more. It is not the rg11 that you would want for the longer run though so I think this post is about useless.
I will say that I prefer the Belden coax cable over others, so you may be able to search for Beldin and stuble across 500' spools.

No RG11 is correct - I was told by two different cable techs that anything over 100' there would be too much signal loss with RG6 - RG11 is what I was told to use.
