Wire spool mounting ideas?

Anyone have any mounting ideas for spools of wire? Either wall or above mount.

I want to be able to pull the wire when needed, so no peg mounts.

Thanks!

I have seen hand carts modified to hold spools of wire. Center post with arms long enough to hold at least 2 spools each and you can store 6 to 8 spools. Move it into a separate storage area when not in use or wheel it wherever you need it. You can incorporate a separate Removable arm to gather the wires if you are bundling them to put in a conduit or such.

I built this one a few years ago. If I had to change something it would be using bolts to keep the rod from sliding instead of cotter pins. Also I would have chosen a different mounting location. I haven’t had to pull to many empty rolls down or add that many but the location and the design means pulling the entire rod out to remove or add rolls.

The best thing I have seen is a modified hand truck with arms supporting spindles holding the reels of wire.

We had 4 colors plus white in both 12 and 10 gauge. We were wiring an industrial plant with 480, 277, and 125 volt circuits.

The Google search in post #4 can give you an idea. It was a beast, but a great time and step saver.

I use this for household wiring. It attaches to a Milwaukee hand truck when i need it.

Here is one I built because I was pulling 1000s of feet of conduit wire for my place...

It can mount right over the in ground pull boxes and I can solo pull whatever combo I need...
