Wire twisting pliers

Don't have a heavy demand for them but would like to have a pair for future use. Is there a go to? Being I am only gonna use them every so often would I be best off going with a set of harbor freights?

Get the Milbar 25W, I like the reversible and the smaller size works well for me.

As mentioned, Milbar is the brand you want. They're the brand most widely used by aviation mechanics; both civilian and military. There's a competing brand, but I can't remember what it is.

I have the HF. They are junk, but they work. It's not a pleasant experience using them. Maybe I don't do it right. I don't use them often, 3 or 4 times a year maybe.

Now I have never used the good ones either, so I cannot honestly compare the experience.

I have a cheap pair and will say this... spend the money for a quality set. Even though they’re only going to be used once in while you’ll appreciate a quality tool.

Don't forget to check out Epstein's site. IIRC they had some safety wire pliers.

Not cheap though!

Google “Yard Store” they sell used aviation tools, may have some good used pliers. Search the classifieds on GJ, I bought a few sets of used Milbar from a seller a couple months back

the reversing ones are nice ill admit, they make some tasks easier, only ones I have seen though, are kinda cheap with the reversing mechanism, they break easily, I use a 6 inch pair of blue points that ive had for 20 years, exceptional tool, course now blue point is chinese **** like everything else, I say chase the warranty, get the best brand, with the best warranty you can

Milnar is about the best you can get! Ive used my set for 10+ years and the only issue ive had were me!! Lol
