I have had some issues with my wireless AP in my shop since I put it in. It's a TP link connected to my main router via a buried cat 5. I went round and round trying to get things in the shop to connect to the internet, and not just the network. Then I had issues with things in the house trying to use the Access Point out there as the internet gateway. I had set the router out there up as an Access Point, and I'm not super network savy....however I did eventually find the solution in case anyone else runs across this.
Even though I had it set to "Access Point" mode, the DHCP server was still turned on. Un ticked that little box and all of my hair pulling frustration went away. Maybe this will help someone else one day, because honestly....what is the point in hiding from your wife in the shop if you can't stream netflix.
