Just thinking outlound...

Working on a job with conduit.
Plan to blow the *mouse* and get it at the other end.
Without a helper, it's get's a little tricky with a large mass of sting coming out.


None of the pipes are marked so it's a guessing game on which is which.

I'm thinking i might just setup a ad-hoc network and trigger the blower via a Belkin *wemo*. That's the closest thing I could come up to help this job without a helper. Thoughts.

How long and difficult is the run? Can you just push a snake through it, metal or fiberglass? I am assuming there are no wires currently in it.

Sad. Most will NOT run a motor because they use semiconductors to turn on the device. Adding a couple dollar relay would solve the problem.

Why not put a vacuum on it? I **** strings all the time by myself.

Tape the hose to the conduit, turn the vacuum on, and walk to the other end and send the string down the pipe. You're done in less time than it took to make this thread.

If you don't know which conduit it is, put the mouse and string in the conduit you want and move the hose from conduit-conduit at the panel. You know you got the right one when you see the string going down the pipe.

Yep this is how we do it at work for short runs.
