Long story short is we took out a wall that had a switch in it. The options of where to move it ****, and **** worse.
So i am looking at options to have a remote switch but know nothing about them. I want to keep the wiring where it is as it is easily accessed in the attic, so am looking at wireless options
This is what i think i need

I am guessing the part on the left of the photo goes into the switch box, and i mount it to a stud in the attic. Then leave that switch in the on position and use the remote to control the light?
Anyone ever use these before or have experience with them? There are the other style that have a receiver between the socket and bulb, but because of the fixture we have that style wont work
Hoping to place a order tonight so any advice, or experience, or brands that work are appreciated
