I got this one for Christmas and so far it's been a winner. Very versatile, there's a magnet on the top and the middle of the back that the hook can attach to. I'm sure you could spend a lot more but I don't know what you would gain

I was helping my brother in law wir eup his furnace in his garage. His neighbor came over with a work light so I could see what i was doing in the panel.
I loved it! Asked him where it's from. He said he got it last year as Black Friday from sears.
I went and got two. One for the truck, and one for the garage.
Use them both all the time!

Picked them up for around $12 each this last year.

I have several of that sears one some say sears some came from Orielly auto parts
wherever they were on sale
have 2 in the shop, 1 in the car hauler and 1 was in the work van when I was working.
have had them for a couple 3 maybe 4 yrs on the original all hold really good charge..
just make sure you don't plug them in where its cold out the first one I got from sears 4 yrs ago I made the mistake of leaving plugged in in the service truck during a really cold weekend at -30 it thinks it need to charge all the time fried the battery pack over the weekend Sears gave me a new one anyway.

I too have this light from Sears. Had it for a couple years it is a good light.
It is usually priced between 20-35 dollars. Hopefully you could catch it on sale.

Been through lots of cordless trouble lights.
If you want an amazing light, and I mean brighter than the sun, durable, functional, then you need this light:

I have one at work and one at home. Bought them from my snap-on rep through a catalogue he buys from. Snap-on brand of practically same light retails for $180

Not good for shining light a far distance, but it will illuminate your entire work area very nicely.

That ATD 80303 looks nice. I like the idea of a single strip of LEDs, but 3w and 160 lumens isn't all that bright a 100w light bulb is 1600, but under a hood in a shop it might be enough.

There LED products are advancing fast, something much brighter should be available soon.

I have the one from Sears posted above. It works great, aside from the button being EXTREMELY difficult to push when it gets cold out, which is a minor concern

yeah, its crazy bright. Heres the Snap on equivilant I was comparing to (sorry, I have a snap-on fetish, but no way I was spending this much on a light)

http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item...roup_ID=675910&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog

I have bought those ones with 40 LEDS etc. The snap one I really like because its not realy directional. Nice spread on the light.

Roryuele , thanks for the heads up. I am going to buy that just to see the difference. I am all about the single strip LEDs now that I tried this snap on.

The snap on one also is more of a neautral white compared to the multiple LEDs ones, in that its more white than white/blueish tint. I realy like it so far. I'd like to get anohter, definately going to try that link that Roryuele had posted.

Glad I could help. Every light has a different application, and this one works best for me as i dont need a "spotlight" type.

Strip led's get me all excited. Imagine those on the garage ceiling instead of flourescents??? one day....
