Do you have a part number? I tried Home Depot, they n't have them for fluorescent. The guy at the local electric supply didn't even know what I was asking for!
you will need these 3 items , or similar. basically you need a fluorescent compatible module ( an appliance module will do too) / a transceiver to convert the wireless signal to the signal sent along power4 lines, and a remote/ basically any x-10 remote will work for you
This came bundled with my garage door opener and works great CFL's / Fluorescents, LED's and regular lights ( It is limited to 300 watts. I have one on the light to the shop and another for the accent lights along the side.
I just replaced the regular on off switch.
The nice thing is you can use the same three button garage remote to operate the lights as you use on your garage door (make dependant- Chamberlain & lift master for sure). I programmed the center button for the lights and the outers for the doors.
$40 from Home Depot, uses RF not IR and has good range.
There's nothing special about using it for fluorescent except you don't want to use the dimming or ramping functions. For simple on/off these are fine.
