If it can be accessed via the web or an app be it the fox app or nascar then you could stream it to the TV via an AppleTV or Google Chromecast.

I've been looking into it. From what I understand, pretty much any wireless TV transmitter that is any good is going to cost pretty good $$$ and won't reach that far, never mind through a couple of walls, too. You might look into an HD antenna...

Do you have Internet in shop?
Sling box

+1

I have a sling box on one of my receivers for when I travel to places that only broadcast Al Jazeera and Cspan or whatever... Works very well depending on the internet connection.

And if you don't have internet in the shop, just install a wireless bridge with a couple Ubiquiti nano stations and then use the sling box...

Nope . . . . much more satisfied if you (at minimum) bury CAT5e in continuous roll of poly pipe (ie sprinkler) along with RG6. This will give you all kinds of options. Extra CAT5e in the conduit for telco or security, and pull string for future upgrades.

High speed internet on the CAT5e out to shop would give you FUNCTIONAL wireless in shop however you might like to use it . . . . add access point,or router in the shop. Smartphone could just use Wifi and not use up your data allowance.

+1 that Sling Box is amazing. Get yourself a SlingBox 350 used on CL and you'll be wishing you always had one. I can watch anything . . . anywhere there is decent internet connection. Old laptop with XP Pro and 512 Mb of RAM even runs the Sling Box client pretty well.

I am confused by the request. You want to display what is on the house TV out to the shop. Where is the signal coming from? A cable box or sat receiver or antenna? Your TV probably doesn't have any video outputs so the signal would have to come from a box.

Ok so I just thought of something after looking at the unit "Stuart in MN" posted, that unit uses 2.4 GHz for transmission, the same as most WIFI routers, so If you have wireless in the house go out the shop and see if a smart phone can connect to the router. If it can the unit he suggested should work fine. If it won't connect you may want to look at the unit I posted earlier as I think that will give you more range.

What is the primary TV receiver in your house? If you are on satelite, many companies allow the use of several receivers on the same contract. It does required the purchase of a separate receiver and dish, but it allows full TV coverage that is the same as the primary. I believe there is a small additional charge for each receiver. I know people that have additional receivers at their cottage on their house contract. (not sure how legal that is, but it does work. It would certainly be legal for you since both receivers are on the same property.)
