Well, I think it may be time to replace my digital thermometer that has a long wire that snakes through the window. Not sure it is working properly. In spite of being north of Montreal, I assure you it was not THAT cold this morning.

I am interested in a reasonably priced display unit with 3 sensors for the garage, basement and outdoors as well as indoor temperature. I see some units have lots of gizmos, but I would start looking at this and see what else could be interesting.

What do you guys use or recommend? I know the first question will be price, I'm more interested in what you guys use but let's set the bar at $100 (USD).

I have an Accurite model# 00639, with a wireless outdoor sensor for temp, humidity, wind speed, the display also has barometric pressure, indoor temp humidity etc. This was a gift a few years ago so I can't tell you what it cost but the unit has worked well and is easy to use, hope this helps.

Visit Amazon and search accurite ...........it will give dozens of options at all price points and features. Sams and Costco often have accurite stations "on sale" this time of year.
La Crosse is the other big player in the the weather station market.

On Amazon:
The three station temp is about $65.
The complete weather station is about $150. Costco sells it for $139.

I got one at home depot, has indoor, outdoor temp, pressures, wind speed, humidity indoor and out, all the bells and whistles. Cost under a hundred. Very accurate and reliable. I will have to look at the brand and post back.

Thanks - the key is multiple sensors (garage, basement, outdoors) which seems to narrow the field a bit.
