I looked at that stuff not to long ago.

The straight pieces arent to bad, its the elbows and fitting that will kill you.

I have specified Wiremold on a lot of projects. It is decent stuff, but it is expensive. They do have a plastic version that is just as good. I would not use the painted metal (rust, chipping, etc). I would use the plastic, aluminum, or their stainless steel version.

I have installed quite a bit through the years as a wireman. Love the stuff, just take your time with corners. Makes a entire work bench easy to operate all your electrical tools.

I'm looking at it for hooking up new flouresecent strip lights...Thinking of just going with armored cable as its tons cheaper...Doesn't look as nice but if I can paint the casing to match the ceiling it will mostly dissapear.

I bought like 25' of 3/4 cable armor at HD for something like $10. The 1/2" is cheaper still IIRC. Wiremold is good stuff, works well but the little bits add up quick. It's like a chain link fence: the fence wire is cheap but the poles, clamps, rods, top rail, ends, caps, bolts, ties, concrete, etc, etc, etc eat your sack lunch.
