Greetings all~

Wiring the new shop and I've got a question about 3-ways.

Circut has 4 can lights with a switch on one end and a dimmer (3-way) on the other. Power comes from the panel to the switch before going to the lights then out to the dimmer.

I've got a fair understanding (along with several diagrams) about how to wire from the panel to the switch, then up to light #1, over to light #2, then down to the dimmer. What has me stumped is the connections from light to light when 3 or more lights are used.

I've already run 2 lines of 14-2 (w/ground) between the lights and the 14-3 to the switches, but the middle part has me lost.

Can anybody describe these connections in a way a layman can understand? A picture is worth a thousand words!

To add more lights to the circuit you just make up color for color. If you have the first light in the string wired blk for hot, wht for nuetral, and bare ground, then you just tie your next light in the same way, blk for hot, wht for nuetral and bare to ground.

Thanks for the info, Guys!

The diagrams and the info explained it and I'm hooking it up tomorrow morning.

If I have any more questions, I'll let you know!
