Wiring a outdoor outlet for a tv

Hey guys, Im not sure if I can do this but Im trying to wire an outdoor plug for a tv for the pool area. I have a weather single gang box with a cap on it just below the roof. I opened it up and it has a red, white, black and ground wire. I think the wire is 8 or 10 gauge. The wire is connected to my range breaker thats 50amp. I was going to use some 14 gauge wire to tie into the white, black and ground so I can have an outlet for the tv. Will this work? Can I go from 8gauge to 14 gauge?

If this also feeds your range, then no. If this goes from the breaker right to the outside box, then yes, you would have to remove the red from the breaker. Replace the 2-pole 50 amp with a single pole 15 amp, might have to pigtail the black with # 14 to fit the breaker. Then you would have to pigtail the other end as you described to fit the receptacle. What I don't understand is why your range circuit is outside and up so high.

Also, with you ungrounded conductor being oversized for a 15 amp circuit, you equipment ground conductor may be undersized

Yes....curious as to why an outside outlet is connected to a range breaker under the overhang....??
