wiring a phase converter

well you all now I bought a mill, I used by buddies rotory phase converter to test it out. Well he talked me into buying a static phase converter. Well it showed up yesterday, and he is on vacation and i want to play with my new toy!!! All I knoe is 3 wires go in and 4 come out. Anybody want to tell me what wires go where?? Keith

I think you should wait until your friend returns. It is much easier and better if someone who knows and understands electricity connects the unit, otherwise it will make a smoke generator out of your motor and possibly the converter.

Oh I'm not gonna power it until he is back. I want a better understanding of it so I can have everything run, he terminates and powers it up. I have a free day and want to male forward progress. Keith

look on the manufactures website, they should have a woring diagram

as I recall you will connect you line in to A and C
you load will connect to A B and C

by the way, if you go out and buy a used 3ph motor and combine with the static converter you just bought you can put togeter your own RPC

Being a holiday weekend has nothing to do with my typo. I was waiting on parts at the supply house for a leaking roof I am working on, I was tapping my reply out on an iPhone, I got fat fingers!!! BTW It's freaking hot out there on the roof!!! Keith
