I have a traffic light that I want to put in the garage and did a search but couldn't find anything that still had a good link. Where or what type of flasher would I need to make it flash all the lights at the same time or what do I need to make it flash each color in a sequence?

If you google "traffic light controller" there are hundreds of examples of DIY projects, or do the same search on eBay and find dozens of versions available for order, like this one:

If you simply want to flash, google "120v flasher" or "12v flasher". If 12v, a simple turn signal flasher from a car will obviously work and be available locally.

that traffic lights $35 price point is good.... home built electronics as option or in high school we soldered a tin can to a clock motor and set electric tape under the brushes,

I bought the little motor and switches to make the timer in the Nuts&Volts issue a few months ago but haven't gotten around to wiring it up. little 120v timer motor and you cut a cam out of 1/4" plywood to hit the SPST switches to give you a real red, yellow, green cycle...was like $5 for the parts...no fancy electronics or anything so it's more of a mechanical build if that's more your thing. you can get a copy of the article on their website I think...

The motor is a little appliance motor from some old electronic supply place that must buy out old stock, because the date on the motors (I bought 3 since I have 3 different lights) were all stamped 1964! thought that was pretty cool...
