Wiring Air Compressor

I just got a air compressor that I wanted to use up stairs in my shop want I want to know it can be wired for 115/230 which right now it is set for 115 so my question is which would be better to wire it for.

240,,, way less breaker trip issues. Its on a partially loaded circuit vs one at or over max.
