Wiring air compressor

When hard wiring an air compressor is it ok to have a splice inside a box to go through a wall or does it have to be solid wire the whole way specs are a 5hp compressor 60 gallon 15 amps using a 30 amp breaker with 10/2 wire the run is only a few feet to the box

It's not a 5 HP if rated for 15A, and it does not have to be solid anywhere, as long as the proper wiring method is used. Pictures are worth a 1000 words though.

It says SPL. Thats closer to a 3HP motor. 5HP motor would be way more than 15a.

For 3HP u need #10 NM-B or #12 THHN

Since it's fallen over . . . all the oil will run into top of cylinder !!
