hey,

im preparing to use foam board to insulate my basement walls and cant figure the proper way to run the wiring..im using the pink stuff with the grooves for the ferring strip so i wont be framing a wall in front of it..my question is...do you run the wiring behind the foam??? if its in front,it wont be smooth for drywall...i was thinking maybe melting channels in it but i dont want this to go bad on me..any advice is appreciated

On the ifc walls which are 3" thick or better
We use based with a metal flange on the front to secure the box to plastice webbing in the off
For the wire chase a 3/8 bit at a 45 degree angle using board as a straight edge.
