I understand how an outlet box is installed when using drywall for new and old construction. But what about steel?

I have a 40' X 40' X 10' pole barn. Trusses are made of wood, and they're on 2 foot centers.

I am having a steel ceiling installed. The steel will screw directly to the bottom of the trusses. Before it's installed I am going to run wiring for lights and a garage door opener.

Do I simply leave one or two feet of wire for each lighting fixture, and drill holes through the steel after the ceiling is installed? What about the 120 VAC receptacle for the garage door opener? How does the outlet box connect to the steel?

You could do it just like you would Sheetrock, or run pipe on top of the steel. You could use mc cable also if your worried about the nm wire getting cut. Or install a box in ceiling and mount light to that later on. What is the steel like,is it flat or does it have raised areas
