I restored a Delta/Milwaukee bandsaw that was given to me in pieces. Motor works and it's wired for 120V. My issue is I don't know how to go about making all the connections. The bandsaw has a little bell light with 2 wires going out. It has a switch with 2 wires going out. It has a junction box which attaches to the top column of the saw. Everything I guess gets routed there. Can someone with some knowledge help me with this?

Look on the Old Wood Working Machines forum (OWWM). You'll likely find the help you seek.

BTW, it looks like your saw fortunately came with a "retirement light". So named because you could sell it and retire!

black incoming to the white switch wire . black from light & motor to the black wire on the switch. whites from motor & light to the white line in. all grounds grounded.
open the switch box & make sure the white goes to the load side . wouldn't hurt to mark the white from the switch with black tape or marker
also the switch & light probably should be grounded

Cobbler,

Thank you for the advice. I followed your instructions and everything works as expected. It made a lot more sense to me once I saw everything connected.

Thanks again.
