I just had a quick question. I just received my Eaton 5HP single stage single phase compressor. For wiring the magnetic starter, it really doesn't tell me anything.
I assume the 2 hot leads go to "A1 and A2" and of course the ground goes to the metal box.

Can someone please confirm that it correct?

Thank you in advance

I have the same compressor. what I have is black to L1 on the top of the block, white to L2 and green to the groung block at the bottom where the other green wire is. Both the black & white are to the screws on a 220 breaker & the green to the busbar. works great. I used 10 gauge SWO wire & have never had a problem with anything. Make sure you get some copper, galv or black pipe though, when I first got mine I plugged a hose directly into the compressor & had water coming out everytime I used it. The metal pipe cools the air which removes the water & makes it so that it don't ruin your airtools. Good luck, you will enjoy this compressor, it will run anything you hook up to it.:)

Thank you for the response.
I guess I could have posted a pic (duh)

So L1 and L2?
I already have the black pipe laid out and an oil water extractor.

I just got some neoprene feet for the compressor as well. I just need to get a flex hose and finish wiring it up. I am excited to get this sucker in use!

Thanks for the help
