I just bought 304 XMT (230/460v) with feeder and now I need to install a dedicated wiring system for the machine, in garage. Can someone tell/show me what wiring system should look like? Or share a good wiring instruction on here?

The plan is to wire it myself and then have a certified electrician inspect it to make sure everything's safe. I'm taking my time to make sure I understand what I'm working with.

For phase 1 and phase 3, from what I understand, typical home use 1 phase, so I'm going with that.

Here's what I get from the manual:

60 Hz Single Phase #1
Input Voltage: 230
Input Amperes At Rated Output: 53
Max Recommendation Standard Fuse Rating in Amperes Time-Delay: 60
Max Recommendation Standard Fuse Rating in Amperes Normal Operating: 80
Min Input Conductor Size in AWK/Kcmil: 8
Max Recommended Input Conductor Length In Feet (Meters): 85 (26)
Min Grounding Conductor Size in AWG/Kcmil: 8

60 Hz Single Phase #2
Input Voltage: 460
Input Amperes At Rated Output: 27
Max Recommendation Standard Fuse Rating in Amperes Time-Delay: 30
Max Recommendation Standard Fuse Rating in Amperes Normal Operating: 40
Min Input Conductor Size in AWK/Kcmil: 10
Max Recommended Input Conductor Length In Feet (Meters): 224 (68)
Min Grounding Conductor Size in AWG/Kcmil: 10

UPDATED MATERIALS
Time-Delay RK5 fuses rated for 30 or 60amp?
A roll of 8/2 or 10/2 wire?
6-50R receptacle
Line disconnect device/box
Metal junction box for the receptacle
Metal conduit (flexible or rod?)

Other suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

Have you looked up he owners manual at Miller? I don't remember them all but think a 6 circuit @ A is good. If this is close to a panel and since you have a plug I might skip the switch. If it was out of the way in another room and hard wired would add a disconnect but there is no point of adding extra pieces and connections if you don't need them.

50 (or 60?) amp breaker

Read the code on Welders. I have a 6-50R according to code I can wire it with #8 wire and use a 125 Amp breaker based on the duty cycle of my Lincoln Square wave 175. My inspector wanted to reject my welder wiring until I showed him the code.

How do I find out what the input voltage is?

You most likely do not have 480 volts in your garage, set the machine for the 230V taps to use commonly available 240 volt power.
