Wiring for evaporative cooler

On my previous shop the cooler had a disconnect next to the cooler. I was thinking of using a 1-gang weatherproof toggle switch cover.
The motor is rated at 3/4 hp, 8.1A plus the water pump of 0.9A
Would this be to code?

IDK if it meets code. Gut instinct says no. It also has to meet the manufacturer's requirements.

The cover is OK, but you may have to replace the switch.
They must be HP rated and the cheap switch shown is made to switch lighting and not motors.
There are lots of 20Amp 120/277 switches rated for 1 HP

I just noticed that it was used as a disconnect. In that case, the cover needs to have provisions for a padlock. (and that one isn't)

I should have used a hp rated for my paint fan, I used a common switch and a recept. I plug it in. Cord to it.
